Saint-Cloud

The school is located in Saint-Cloud, in the western suburbs of Paris. It welcomes 100 children of all nationalities. It is a distinctive school inspired by the work of Maria Montessori, with an open approach adapted to the children of today. Both the preschool and primary sections are bilingual in French and English.

For more than 50 years, the school has been developing its educational project in line with the principles of Montessori pedagogy: fostering autonomy and respecting each child’s individual pace within a structured and supportive environment.

Founded in 1972 by Anne Bickert (1929–2006), the school upholds humanist values centered on respect for others and dialogue. Bilingualism, which opens children to the world, lies at the heart of our project.

OUR VALUES

The Bilingual Montessori School of Saint-Cloud was founded by Anne Bickert (1929–2006). Deeply shaped by the experience of the Second World War, Anne Bickert made respect for human dignity and openness to others the cornerstones of the school’s educational project.

Originally established as a Montessori preschool in 1972, the school was expanded in 1986 with the addition of primary sections.
